After the monsoon of 2016, I moved to France and realised how ill equipped I was, to handle my new life as a student in Lille.
The following months had me trying every trick in the book to nail the French language. I had an ambitious target - I wanted to sound native.
After over a hundred google searches on every combination of 'how to learn French', I was finally getting somewhere.
In just over a year of moving to France, my French sounded native and I had the confidence to ask what a word meant. You can achieve this too. This was my loose process ➡️

An easy way to start off as a dead beginner is to do stuff you'd enjoy doing in English.
I love sitcoms, music, stand up comedy and I watch the occasional news clipping - I now have to find French alternatives. I've spoken about this a couple of times on my YouTube channel
